On the Joke title= Many christians today think that seeing an angel is a GOOD thing....well if we go by the stories in their holy book, it is more often a bad omen. Those angels were ass-kickers! City filled with sinners? Send in the Angels. Result? City destroyed.
Of course she may not be an Angel but a Harpy....
lol okay joking aside, angels (not just the judeo-christian ones) were seen as messengers. Question is what message does this strange person represent? Several wild speculations are cirulating in the forums. Top three suggestions are=
1-She's part of some genetic human experimentation thats happening at Punk Hazard.
2-She got the wings by whoever using a DF to "puzzle" people and things together, like the Legs that were stuck to the Dragon.
3- She's a scout for Big Mama.
Me? I've not made a decission yet since we have no informations, we only know that she has wings, she was watching the Strawhats and she flew off after Usopp saw her. We know nothing else. Heck we are assuming she is female. Its likely that "she" is female, but Usopp said "person" and only face was shown, so there is a small chance that its a male. But based on facial structure I will go with female until Oda says otherwise.
Usopp alone saw her. While he does notice things quickly (he was the first to notice Moriah was in stomach of Oars, then had to point it out to others) it still strikes me funny only he saw it.
It reminds me of when the Strawhats were in Skypeia. Usopp saw the klaubautermann (spelling may be off) fixing the Merry Go, no one else did. He was also the first to hear it, when the Merry Go came to Enies Lobby, saving the Strawhats from the Buster Call.
Oh well, We'll find out more eventually....even ifs several chapters later, like it was with the Klaubettermann.
EDIT= in ch 658 is is shown that she is a classical harpy. It seems that two other odd human/animal hybrids attack Luffy, So answer to the title is it seems to be a bad thing to see her
And yes, I will be coloring it.
